I decided to choose this photograph for my background/ main cover image because it has a good depth of field, good resolution, has good lighting that both complements the colours of the moss, grass and wall but also doesn't over power the light blue of the sky. I thought that it would also be a good choice because there isn't a major diversity of colours making it much easier to find a good colour for my banners, and fonts.
I decided to choose this photograph for one of my cover images because it has as a good depth of field, good resolution, and has good lighting. I felt that it was quite mellow and mellifluent, appealing to the desired connotations of my brand; this is because I want to make my magazine appear as warm and welcoming to people as possible.
I decided to choose this photograph for my second cover image because it also as a good depth of field, good resolution, and has good lighting. I also decided to choose this photograph because I wanted my magazine to have the connotations of spring i.e., new life, warmth and rejuvenation which this image connotes.
I decided to choose this photograph because of the contrast of the greens and browns of the moss and the black and white 'peppered' rocks which is very aesthetically pleasing. I also decided to choose this photograph because I thought that it only has three main colours (green, black and white) it would be ideal for me to insert text over and be a blank canvas for me to add to.
